Banana Bread and a Broken Camera

So I'm now experimenting with different breads. This will be the first bread that I have made from scratch. I started with banana bread, and holy moly it was really good!! I took it out of the oven too early a couple of times, as shown by a toothpick. Once completely done I couldn't stop snacking on it. Some pals really dug it too. $5 each of 2 loaves for $8.

Pardon the not so great picture. 8oz of water poured onto my camera and this was one of the last pictures I could get out of it.
I made zucchini bread tonight and chocolate zucchini muffins. I'll work on getting some pictures.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Well just about everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, so why not make them into bars! I finally got around to doing this and turns out people are way into them. Super easy to make, definitely easier than chocolate chip cookies since there is no need to scoop the individual cookies. I used my same recipe and just flattened the dough into a 9x13 greased pan. Then I bakes them at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Wah-lah! These are much easier to dip into a glass of soy milk.

More Loving Hut!

Just can't get enough! I still have so much to try here. Tonight I went for the sweet and sour chicken with my usual Pink Lady to drink. My pal got some chow mein. We ended up sharing some banana nut bread, sooo delicious. Here are our main dishes as well as my Pink Lady.

Loving Hut

Loving Hut has quickly become one of my favorite places to get some vegan grub. The prices are very reasonable and the service has been great for me so far.

I wanted to show off their banana fritters....holy yum!!!! I can't wait to make these at home!! Super delicious.

My pals also had the cheesecake, which I hear is tasty. Take a look at the menu: http://lovinghut.us/phoenix/menu.html
Other things I can say are yummy: golden rolls,
spring rolls, chicken salad, new york steak, pink lady drink and the carrot cake.
My pals rave about the wonton soup and sunny forest drink. I have so much left to try!
Expect more pictures :)

July 4th never tasted so good

Today was a busy busy day. But I managed to bake some cookies for the 4th. Sugar cookies were of choice. Shapes included stars, flowers and baseball hats. You should know I love baseball. The cookies were definitely enjoyed.
Other food you could have enjoyed today was at Green. They had a big BBQ going on with live music. Many people came and enjoyed, great turnout!
I hope everyone who wanted to see fireworks was able to!
