Happy Birthday George

So today we are celebrating George's birthday. Little man is turning 12! He requested cupcakes, good choice!

I put together some of his favorite colors to make these especially yummy. Eddy suggested a special pink cupcake which apparently he intended to use to tease George with. I didn't know this at the time so went ahead and made it. The 'G' is courtesy of Eddy.

Tofu BBQ Sandwich

Delicious!! Another quick and easy meal, these sandwiches won't last long. Hers's what we used: one package of extra firm tofu, half of an onion, 2 garlic cloves, salt and pepper and about 1/3 or so of a jar of chunky bbq sauce from sunflower market.

Chop the tofu into little bits and heat them in a pan, med/high, we sprayed the pan with cooking spray beforehand. Don't forget to drain your tofu!! We used our food chopper to chop the onion and garlic, yet still cried like babies. Add everything!

When to your liking add some mounds to your favorite buns and wah-lah! We both went back for seconds.

lately at the vo

Things have been super busy here lately. Therefore, there have been a lack of updates!! I haven't had much time for the internet lately.

I'm going to go ahead and blame the dogs:

Eddy had his birthday earlier this month and wanted a cake, child style. So I made him a basic white cake with delicious chocolate frosting and lots of sprinkles.

I love trying new things and Adrian wanted something with pecans. I offered chocolate brownies with a praline topping. This is actually super easy to make. I made chocolate chip chocolate brownies, let them cool completely then made the topping and added that. The main ingredients in the topping are just pecans and brown sugar...theres also a little butter, flour and vanilla. I'm a fan.
