Loving Hut

Today Amy and I met up at Loving Hut for lunch. If you have not been to Loving Hut yet I strongly suggest it! Today we both had steak rolls for our appetizers. I've had these numerous times and am always pleased. For the main meal I chose sweet and sour chicken while Amy chose lemon grass chicken. We were both happy campers today.

The service at Loving Hut is always great. Everyone is so polite as well, it's a great atmosphere. I hope to visit them in other states soon! http://lovinghut.us/t.us/

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom wanted me to meet up with her and my dad for her birthday. She requested some cupcakes! Sounds good to me. She wanted white cupcakes with white frosting. Knowing her favorite color is green I thought I'd throw some green into the frosting.
I tried a little something different with my cupcake/cake recipe, and got the best cupcakes yet! Glad I wrote down my changes. They turned out very fluffy and moist. I have a huge sweet -tooth and I would love these cupcakes even without frosting.

Mom really enjoyed these. I'm glad I'm still getting to do so much baking since the move. All is well in The Vegan Oven world.

The Vegan Oven has moved

Some of you are aware that the Vegan Oven has relocated. This decision was made to pursue my passion of helping animals and offering my time to assist them. You can follow my new adventures with this here http://ironwoodpigs.blogspot.com/

However, the Vegan Oven is still open for business and I just delivered my first order from my new location last night.

A favorite customer of mine from New Jersey ordered her Phoenix pal a dozen black and white snickerdoodle cookies. She sent a hand decorated tin for the treats, a birthday card and a mask to wear to surprise her pal. Yes folks, I do telegrams of sorts, you just have to ask.

The cookies turned out amazing!! They look fantastic and taste just as good as they look. When I arrived to the birthday boys' house he was not to be found! I called my New Jersey pal and she couldn't get a hold of her friend, so we chose to leave the cookies, card and mask placed by his front door to surprise him. I hope he enjoys them!!
